Shanghai, March 15, 2024 – Foselev Group, a major company in the construction, industrial, and nuclear industries, has chosen the Allison Specialty Series™ (SP) transmission for its Sany SAC 600 E three-axle mobile all-terrain crane, which is distributed by SNM Cranes in France.
As a well-known national industrial group, Foselev Group operates in three business areas: service logistics, maintenance, and major project contracting. The group has 3,000 employees and operates more than 950 pieces of lifting equipment.
Maël Fiche, Branch Manager of Foselev Atlantique in Donges, Loire-Atlantique, France, said: “Refining, nuclear industry, shipbuilding lifting, and heavy transportation are the core businesses of our company. The Sany SAC 600 E all-terrain crane is very attractive to us because, equipped with an Allison transmission, this equipment is very efficient on the road and extremely flexible on construction sites. Crane operators greatly appreciate its flexible mobility when crossing obstacle sections, especially its ability to navigate narrow passages.”
Allison fully automatic transmissions are widely recognized on various types of mechanical equipment, including five-axle mobile cranes in the lifting field, and articulated dump trucks (up to 60 tons) and rigid dump trucks (up to 100 tons) used in global mining and quarrying industries.

Allison transmissions can automatically manage gear shifts, thereby reducing the burden on drivers and allowing them to maintain full control of the vehicle during precise manipulation. The vehicle can also achieve uninterrupted acceleration and smooth gear shifting without losing speed. Since there is no clutch, vehicles equipped with Allison fully automatic transmissions can reduce downtime, optimize uptime and productivity, and reduce maintenance costs.
The all-terrain Sany SAC 600 E three-axle mobile all-terrain crane features a compact chassis with various boom configurations and counterweight combinations, providing great flexibility for lifting projects. The Allison transmission, combined with the Mercedes-Benz OM470LA all-terrain inline six-cylinder engine, forms the main part of the transmission system. The Allison 4500 SP six-speed transmission features a torque converter and planetary gear set, providing smooth starts and manipulation.

Stéphane Gonnand, Regional Sales Manager of Allison Transmission in France, said: “Allison fully automatic transmissions can shift gears without interrupting torque, which is a considerable advantage in both on-road and off-road scenarios. Crane operators can maintain 100% control of the equipment and operate without pressure in any environment. We have established a close partnership with Sany Heavy Industry, as well as with SNM Cranes, an expert in lifting equipment, especially mobile cranes, to jointly create solutions that meet the reliability and performance needs of users of cranes with three or more axles.”
