Shanghai, April 30, 2025 – As a global leader in commercial vehicle propulsion solutions, Allison Transmission has always regarded excellent performance, reliable quality and technological innovation as its core competitiveness. Since entering the Chinese market, Allison has won industry recognition with its innovative product life cycle solutions, and through strategic collaboration with local Chinese companies, it has built a comprehensive distributor network covering the whole country. From urban buses to mines and oil fields, from the southeast coast to the northwest hinterland, Allison is deeply integrated into the development of China’s commercial vehicle industry, injecting strong impetus into the development of the Chinese market.
In-depth layout to build a comprehensive service system
Shenzhen Tongda Ailisheng Industrial Co., Ltd. began to provide Allison transmission import agency services to Chinese OEMs and end users in 1991, and became Allison’s first agent in mainland China in 1996. Since then, Allison has officially started its cooperation journey in the Chinese market. Today, Allison maintains a large distributor network, including 6 first-level agents, 4 agent branches and 13 second-level agents, including Shenzhen Tongda Ailisheng, Zhuhai Jingchu, Yantai Jerry, Inner Mongolia Guibang Shengtai Zhouyu, Hong Kong Guanzhao Machinery, and Xinneng Power. The service network covers all kinds of commercial vehicle application scenarios on and off the road.
In China, whether in large cities or remote areas, Allison’s service network ensures that the areas with equipment and vehicles equipped with transmissions are fully supported, providing one-stop services from product selection to after-sales, thereby continuously improving customer operational efficiency. For example, in the underground operation project of PetroChina Chuanqing, Zhuhai Jingchu conducts vehicle transmission inspections and fault handling every year to reduce operating failures and improve vehicle use efficiency and working hours. Yantai Jerry and Allison jointly launched the “Wide-body Mine Car Regular Maintenance and Inspection Program” at the Heishan Open-pit Coal Mine in Xinjiang. Faced with extreme environments and complex working conditions, staff from both sides went deep into the site to carefully investigate common failure modes and accurately grasp the overall condition and performance of each vehicle. In addition, Yantai Jerry has fully upgraded its Xinjiang service branch in response to the extreme climate in Xinjiang, providing 24-hour online service throughout the year and efficiently completing a large number of gearbox overhaul and emergency repair tasks. Shenzhen Tongda and bus companies in cities such as Beijing, Wuhan, and Chongqing have cooperated on a full-time gearbox maintenance project, which has solved the worries of bus companies and set a benchmark for the national bus industry in terms of improving bus operating efficiency and service quality.
In 2024, Jerry and Allison went to the Heishan open-pit coal mine in Xinjiang for inspection.

Working together to achieve remarkable market success
In 1983, the Fourth Petroleum Machinery Plant introduced the first Allison transmission in the country, opening the prelude to the cooperation between the two parties. From the initial service provider to the first-level agent, Zhuhai Jingchu’s service capabilities and quality have been continuously improved. During this period, the cooperation between the two parties has achieved step-by-step development in both scale and depth, and has effectively guaranteed the stable supply and wide coverage of Allison original accessories, providing the market with solid and reliable product support.
Yantai Jerry has been Allison’s partner for more than 20 years. Since taking over the first gearbox maintenance business in 2000, the cooperation between the two parties has continued to deepen. Especially in terms of insight into market demand, the two parties have established an efficient coordination mechanism to promote the successful implementation of Allison’s new product promotion plan. From the installation of the world’s first Allison 9832 OFS gearbox on Jerry’s 2500 fracturing truck in 2016, to the batch sales of 4800 WBD gearboxes in 2019, to the completion of the assembly and testing of China’s first FracTran® gearbox in 2024. The emergence of a series of achievements has fully demonstrated the great value contained in the cooperation between the two parties, and can continuously provide high-quality products that meet market demand.
As the first official distributor of Allison in mainland China, Shenzhen Tongda has relied on its professional service team and perfect technical support to build a reliable guarantee for urban transportation, mining and other fields, and become a strong booster for Allison’s market promotion. From the successful launch of the first bus equipped with Allison AT545 transmission in Shenzhen, to the tens of thousands of buses equipped with Allison Torqmatic® series transmissions shuttling in the streets and alleys of Beijing, this process from pilot application to large-scale popularization vividly demonstrates the outstanding achievements of both parties in market expansion.
Professional empowerment to build an excellent service system
Allison focuses on long-term development and is committed to building a comprehensive and efficient service system. In terms of service quality management, Allison implements a rigorous performance reward mechanism and assessment and evaluation, namely PRP. With the help of a multi-dimensional evaluation system, it comprehensively considers the service performance of dealers from aspects such as customer satisfaction surveys, service response time, workshop facility audits, and parts sales performance. This scientific and reasonable mechanism has greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of dealers, prompting them to continuously optimize service processes, improve service levels, and meet the diverse needs of customers. In the annual assessment and evaluation, Chinese dealers have performed well and won many good results. They stand out in the global dealer evaluation and have won many gold medals and awards.
Sathit Riyatanon, Director of Customer Support for Allison Asia Pacific, said: “Our distributor service network is one of Allison’s core competitiveness in the Chinese market.
